Valiant Effort by Sharks at the Bridon Shield. Although Sharks were unable to field a full set of relay teams for the Briden Sheild at Adwick we nevertheless came away with a ton of medals. Special thanks go to those swimmers who helped make up the teams we did put in. Our boys and girls worked hard to get us a fantastic 4th place overall, even though in the afternoon we were only able to complete in 6 of the 16 events. Well done everyone. It was business as usual at Adwick on Sunday as we all parked up and joined the masses barred from entry until we were fed up enough. It happens every time we go to Adwick and you would think we would be used to it by now. The recent innovation of letting us wait and then directing us around the back entrance is a new twist to the experience.
Divided into two sessions it was inevitable that the second session would be late - very late. In the first session Sharks managed to field a full squad of 10, 12, 14 and Open teams who had varies success against some strong competition from the Armthorpe Army. By the way how do they get away with having 9 (yes 9) coaching staff on poolside? Anyway, back to the swimming . . . Our first swimmers were the 10/U girls, Alex Cook, Lily Webb, Cari Williams and Holly Lewis in the 4x25 Medley.
